Canada Post launched its’ Employee Engagement Survey the week of September 11, 2023, and will remain open until October 13, 2023.
CUPW believes that surveys administered by management are inappropriate and, undermines the role of the Union.
This is especially significant as we head into bargaining with Canada Post this Fall. CUPW urges members not to participate in CPC’s survey and to remember the Union’s Policy, A-19 in the National
Constitution.
A-19 Employer Surveys
“The Union will inform its members concerning the dangers of management surveys to determine the opinion of its members. These surveys, which management uses to affect the working conditions of the employees, and to counter Union demands at the bargaining table and to establish its own position, shall be made known to the members through Union education courses, through circular letters and at monthly meetings.”
It is the Union that represents your interests during collective bargaining. We are in the process of ratifying the Program of Demands that was democratically developed through a series of Local meetings and Regional Conferences. That is what constitutes the real demands of our members, not some management survey.
