As per Article 3.37 of the National Constitution, we will be holding a Special Regional Conference on November 30, 2024, to elect the Regional Grievance Officer and one (1) Union Representative.
In addition to the above election, as per Articles, 4.07, 4.15, 4.96, 8.07 and 8.43, of the National Constitution, we will also be electing the following:
•One (1) Alternate Union Representative
•One (1) Alternate to the Differently Abled Working Group, National Human Rights Committee
•Four (4) Regional Internal Organizing Committee Members
•One (1) Alternate National Board of Trustees
•Two (2) Alternates to the Regional Disciplinary Committee
•One (1) Alternate to the National Appeal Board (cannot be from the Vancouver Local per 8.43 as the elected member is from Vancouver Local 846)
All Members in Good Standing are eligible to run for the 10 positions listed above, you do not have to be a Delegate to the Regional Conference. All written nominations and acceptances for those not a delegate to the Regional Conference must be,
•Moved by a Member in Good Standing
•In Writing, signed by the mover (names must be legible, please include ID #)
• Accepted by the candidate in writing and signed (names must be legible, please include ID#)
•Received by the National Director by 5:00 pm on November 14, 2024, via mail, fax or email me at jsavage@cupw-sttp.org
