It’s an exciting year with a lot happening for young workers at the BCFED❤
The YWC are hosting a series of online and in-person events throughout the province to continue building on the momentum since BCFED’s Convention.
On Friday March 24th we will have an online event hosted by our co-chair George Finley! It will be an awesome online social games night on Discord so join us and RSVP here.
Two Asks

- If you are attending, please bring one new young worker who isn’t already involved in the labour movement.

April 15th – Lower Mainland in-person social hosted by our co-chair Rick Kumar
May 27th – Vancouver Island in-person social hosted by our committee member Hayley.
June 10th – Southern Interior in-person social hosted by our committee member Jennifer.

Young Worker Camp
Young Worker Camp is back as the Young Worker Leadership Retreat this year at Loon Lake. The dates are Wednesday September 6th – Friday June 8th and registration will open in June. Please note that there is a limit of 50 young workers only. Tickets will be $500 per person.
Additionally, we ask that you think about affiliate members who are young workers and identify with one or more equity groups like IBPoC, QTIBPoC, 2SLGBTQIA, workers with accessibility considerations, Deaf and others, to help make this year’s retreat as inclusive as possible.
